Welcome to the Llancloudy Fell Ponies Website

The Llancloudy Fell Ponies is based in the lowlands in Herefordshire, England. Our involvement into the Fell pony came about with our desire to help protect a rare breed of animal. Already farming sheep and cattle, we decided we would like to protect a native-bred pony.

After looking through all the native breeds, the immediate eye-catching quality and the historic importance of the Fells convinced us this was the native breed well worthy of preservation.

The ponies on our farm are self-financing, and we soon found that preserving such a worthy cause has given us years of pleasure and has proven to be a totally rewarding experience.

The Fell pony is now on the rare breeds listings. There are fewer than 6,000 in the world at this time.

The Llancloudy Fell Ponies aim is to promote and produce quality Fell ponies for all the family to enjoy.

Visitors are welcome by appointment only. Groups are also catered for—a warm welcome awaits you!
